He has lost an incredible six stone after weighing 21st at his heaviest.
The Late Late show host, 43, admitted on that day he had so far only eaten an apple and does boxing with a trainer ‘most mornings’.
Secret to success: James Corden has now revealed the secrets to his weight loss, which included following intermittent fasting and not eating until midday
Discussing his diet, James told the Sun: ‘I try to eat healthily and not deprive myself. The notion of going on a diet is everything that is wrong because at some point you are going to revert.
‘It’s like Dry January — it’s brilliant if you give up booze for January but in the back of your mind you’re like, “Well, in February I’m going to have a drink”.’
James, who is an ambassador for WW [formerly Weight Watchers], said: ‘You don’t have to cut anything out. It’s just being aware of what you are putting in your body, trying not to eat things that have too many ingredients.’

The comedian added that he finds the WW programme ‘enjoyable’ because he doesn’t beat himself up if he has had a bad week or end up snacking on Quavers at midnight.
As well as looking after his body James has been taking care of his mind and recently embarked on a four-day transcendental meditation course.
James said he learned to give himself 20 minutes of silence to let his thoughts ‘be whatever they are’ which he said he found very helpful.

In November last year, James said that he was feeling ‘incredible’ after working hard and shedding the pounds over 2021.
The talk show host detailed that he took the plunge and joined WW at the beginning of the year.
James said: ‘Let me tell you, WW really works. I am down 28 pounds since the start of the year, and for the first time, the weight I’ve lost hasn’t come back. It’s game changing and I feel incredible.’
He detailed the group’s new programme which was individually tailored to suit his needs and added that he ‘now knows how to eat and live healthier in a way that’s manageable’.
The Late Late Show host, first rose to fame playing overweight teenager Jamie in ITV drama series Fat Friends.
He explained that he now understands healthy eating is a ‘way of life’ as opposed to a ‘temporary solution’, especially during the festive season.
Speaking in an interview with People he said: ‘This time of year has traditionally been a struggle for me when it comes to healthy living.’
But he added: ‘I’m entering the holiday season more confident than ever. It’s my favourite time of year, and it’s so liberating to know that I can still enjoy the foods I love most and never deprive myself.
‘What’s working for me is realizing this isn’t a temporary solution, this is a new way of life.’
He then joked: ‘I love that my clothes fit better, but I just love ice cream a little bit more than that.’

James previously praised his wife Julia for supporting him on his weight loss journey. Speaking back in May, he said: ‘My wife has been incredible in this, in my whole journey with food she’s been really, really amazing with me.’
‘And I’ve really found this past five weeks like I’m on the start of a journey that I’m determined to finish, and I feel that I can.’
James and Julia are planning to relocate to the UK after his time on his CBS show has come to an end.
He said they will start tentatively house-hunting when he is back in London next month.
The star also said that he would be open to hosting another chat show in the future but thinks it would be ‘odd’ to do something similar to The Late Late Show.
James said he never wanted the show to feel like it had overstayed its welcome and hopes there will still be other things for him to do.
James promised to ‘go out with a bang’ as he informed audiences of his decision to step down as the host of The Late Late Show.
James said the show had ‘changed my life’ and promised there would be ‘lots of tears’ when his tenure came to an end.
‘Seven and half years ago I started hosting this show and there’s no other way to put it, it has changed my life,’ he said.
‘I never saw as it as my final destination, and I never want this show to overstay its welcome, I love making it and I really think in a year from now that will be a good time to move on and see what’s out there.’
He added: ‘We are all determined to make this the best year we have ever had…we are going to go out with a bang.
‘The fact that you watch this…all over the world…is an absolute privilege for me and every single person who makes this show.’
